An earthquake measuring 4.1, according to preliminary estimates, hit the sea area off the Ionian island of Lefkada, early on Thursday morning.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, the quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was 14 kilometers southwest of Lefkada. The focal depth was 15.8 km.
Local media say that the tremor was felt on the island, but there no reports of injuries or damage.
